Invite members

I want to …

… bring a person into the workspace by email and give them a role.

Before you start

  • Only Owner and Admin can invite, and the workspace owner needs Pro or Ultra.
  • Free has one seat. Pro up to five, Ultra up to 25.

Here's how

  1. Open Settings in the workspace and tap Members. Or go to the members screen directly.
  2. Tap Invite member. A dialog opens with Colleague email, the role, and the Gifts block.
  3. Enter the email. The line below shows the free seats and whether the address is New to Zeitlicht or Already on Zeitlicht.
  4. Pick Member or Admin. You cannot grant Owner here.
  5. Optional: add a gift for a person who is new to Zeitlicht. See Gift Pro time with an invitation.
  6. Tap Send invitation. The person gets an email with the link. You can also copy the link later from the invitation row.
  7. Open invitations stay under the member list until they are accepted, declined, or revoked.

The result

The invitation is on its way. Once the person opens the link and confirms with that exact email, they sit in the workspace.

Common questions

Can I invite someone with only a link and no email?

The invitation is tied to the email. The link only works for that address.

Why is Send invitation greyed out?

There is no valid address in the field yet. Errors such as An invitation for that address is already open. or This workspace has no free seats left. appear after you send.

What does Email pending mean?

The mail has not gone out yet or sending is in flight. Resend invitation tries again.
