Accept an invitation

I want to …

… join a workspace I was invited to.

Before you start

  • You need the link from the email or from the person who invited you.
  • The invitation only works for the email it was sent to.

Here's how

  1. Open the link. The page names the person and the workspace, for example Ada invited you to Night Desk, plus your role and any gift. Your address is shown masked, like a****@example.com, not in full.
  2. New to Zeitlicht: tap Accept invitation. The form asks for a display name, an avatar, a password, and the terms. Your email is already set by the invitation and is not asked again.
  3. Already have an account and signed out: tap Sign in. The sign-in screen arrives with the invited address filled in, and brings you back to the invitation afterwards.
  4. Signed in with the invited address: tap Accept invitation to join, or Decline to turn it down.
  5. Signed in with a different address: you see This invitation is for …. Tap Sign out and come back with the invited address.
  6. If the link is invalid, revoked, or already used, you see This invitation is no longer valid.

The result

You are a member and land on that workspace's board. When you signed up through the link, Zeitlicht skips the verification mail and the plan picker, and takes you through the short first-run tour first.

Common questions

I do not have the email.

Ask the person who invited you to Copy or Resend invitation on the members screen. Every mail from Zeitlicht arrives from the sender ZEITLICHT, so search your inbox and spam folder for that name.

Is the email legit?

The footer of every Zeitlicht mail links to Imprint, Privacy, and Terms on zeitlicht.app. The invitation link itself always points to the Zeitlicht app.

Do I have to verify my email?

Not for this route. Accepting the invitation proves the address, so Zeitlicht marks it as verified.

The workspace says it is full.

You see This workspace has no free seats left. The workspace owner has to free a seat or move to a bigger plan.
