Gift Pro time with an invitation

I want to …

… give someone Pro time when I invite them into a workspace.

Before you start

  • You need Owner or Admin in the workspace, and the workspace owner needs Pro or Ultra.
  • Both gifts only work for people who are new to Zeitlicht. Existing accounts keep their own plan.
  • Gift 60 days of Pro is capped at five gifts per year and comes out of your own referral budget.
  • Give a free Pro membership only appears when the workspace owner is on Ultra. Ultra covers four of them.

Here's how

  1. Open Members and tap Invite member.
  2. Enter the address. Zeitlicht checks it and shows either New to Zeitlicht. You can add a gift. or Already on Zeitlicht. They only confirm the invitation.
  3. Pick the role, then look at the Gifts block. Each switch shows what is left, for example 3 of 5 gifts left this year.
  4. Turn on Gift 60 days of Pro to send 60 days of Pro with the invitation: 30 days right away, 30 more after the person has used Zeitlicht for a while.
  5. On Ultra you can also turn on Give a free Pro membership. That seat stays Pro for as long as your Ultra plan runs, and it is reserved the moment you send the invitation.
  6. Tap Send invitation. The email names the gift, and the person sees it again on the invitation page.

The result

The invitation carries the gift. Open invitations show Pro gift or Free membership next to the delivery status, and the counters go down.

Common questions

The gift switches are greyed out.

Either the address already has a Zeitlicht account, or the budget is used up. The dialog says which one.

Do I get a reserved gift back?

Yes. Revoke invitation, and a declined invitation, put the gift back into your budget. A free membership is only counted while the invitation is open or the seat is in use.

Does the gift replace the invitation email?

No. It is one extra line in the same email.
