Attach a parked link to a task or note

I want to …

… hang a parked link on a task or note that already exists, so it sits where the work happens.

Before you start

  • It works on every plan. A task or note holds up to 50 web links.
  • The list shows the 80 most recently changed tasks of the workspace and your most recently changed notes that you can open: your own notes and public notes. Owner, Admin, and Member may all do this.

Here's how

  1. Open Notes and tap Parking lot.
  2. On a phone, press and hold a link. On desktop, click its three dots (More).
  3. Choose Attach ….
  4. A list of tasks and notes opens, on a phone as a sheet from the bottom. Type in Search tasks and notes to narrow it down by title. A check box icon marks tasks, a lines icon marks notes.
  5. Tap the task or note.
  6. The link leaves the parking lot, and the message names the task or note, for example Attached to Write the offer.
  7. Tap Undo in that message to take the link off again. It then stays on the parking lot.

The result

The link sits under Web links on the task or note and is gone from the parking lot.

Common questions

What if the link is already on that task or note?

Nothing is added twice. The message says Already attached there., and the link leaves the parking lot all the same.

What if the task or note already holds 50 web links?

The message says This already holds 50 web links. The link stays parked. Remove a web link there first.

Can I attach several links at once?

Not yet. Attach one link at a time.

Which tasks does the list show?

The 80 most recently changed tasks of this workspace, and your most recently changed notes that you can open. The search only filters this list.
