Set a due date

I want to …

… give a task a due date, from the card or from the detail screen.

Before you start

  • Date, priority, estimate, checklist, and recurrence are locked on the free plan. Pro, Ultra, or the trial unlock them.
  • If the module is not on by default for the workspace, the task shows Enable Due date.

Here's how

  1. On the board: tap the date field on the card. If it is hidden, hover the card or press it until the quick fields appear.
  2. Choose Today, Tomorrow, Next week, a date via Pick a date, or Clear date.
  3. On the detail screen: scroll to Due date and set the same values.
  4. If the block is off, tap Enable Due date. On Free that route opens Choose your plan.
  5. Overdue cards are marked Overdue.

The result

The date sits on the card and on the task. You can change or clear it from the same menu at any time.

Common questions

Why do I see Enable Due date and then pricing?

Task modules belong to Pro and Ultra. Free only shows the path there.

Is the date a reminder?

Zeitlicht does not send an extra email. The date is a visible field on the board and the card.
