Turn on Hyperfocus

I want to …

… hide everything except the one Focus task so the rest of the board cannot pull me away.

Before you start

  • A task must sit in Focus. Without a Focus card, Hyperfocus does not change much.
  • The first time you turn it on, a short intro appears. Confirm with Got it.

Here's how

  1. Move the task you are working on into Focus.
  2. Turn on Hyperfocus. On desktop the toggle sits in the left rail; on a phone it sits in the board app bar.
  3. The first time, read the intro: one switch, and every column but Focus and Done folds away. Cards outside Focus soften and cannot be opened. Navigation keeps only Board and Timer.
  4. Work on the Focus card or start the timer.
  5. The board returns on its own once that card lands in Done.
  6. You can turn Hyperfocus off at any time with the same toggle.

The result

Only Focus and Done stay usable. The one task is in front; the rest of the board stays out of the way.

Common questions

Why does nothing change?

Either no task is in Focus, or Hyperfocus is already off. Check the toggle and the Focus column.

Do other people in the workspace see this?

No. Hyperfocus is only for you on this device.
