See and disconnect connected devices
I want to …
… see which devices may put links in my parking lot, and disconnect one of them.
Before you start
- This is available on Free, Pro, and Ultra, the same for Owner, Admin, and Member. It only concerns your personal parking lot.
- The entry appears as soon as at least one device is connected. That happens on its own as soon as you sign in to the iPhone or iPad app.
- Your email address needs to be confirmed for that.
Here's how
- Open
Settings. - In the
Accountblock, tapConnected devices. - Each row shows the device, such as iPhone or iPad, its kind, such as
Share on iPhone and iPad, and when it last parked something, for exampleLast used Oct 15, 2026. If it has not parked anything yet, it saysNot used yet. The device in your hand carriesThis device. - Tap
Disconnectnext to a device. - Confirm with
Disconnect.Disconnected.appears at the bottom. - Pull the list down to reload it.
The result
The device's key is revoked, and it can no longer park links. If the device is still signed in to Zeitlicht, it connects again with a new key the next time the app opens. To lock a device out for good, sign out of Zeitlicht on it. What is already in your parking lot stays there.
Common questions
Why does the share menu on the iPhone need to connect?
The share extension runs without your sign-in. So that it may still park, Zeitlicht makes a key of its own for this device after you sign in. The key can only park links. It cannot read your parking lot, tasks, or notes.
What happens when I sign out?
Zeitlicht revokes this device's key, and it disappears from the list. If the device is offline at that moment, Zeitlicht still removes the key from the device and revokes it the next time you sign in there. Until then, you can disconnect the entry here.
I disconnected a device, but it shows up again. Why?
Disconnecting only revokes the key. A device where you are still signed in to Zeitlicht gets a new one the next time the app opens. To lock a device out for good, sign out on it. Disconnecting mostly helps with a device where you already signed out, or that you no longer open.
What if the list does not load?
Without a connection or after an error, the screen shows a message and Retry. Tap it once you are back online. The Connected devices entry stays visible in Settings as long as Zeitlicht does not know whether any devices are connected.
Is there a limit?
At most 20 connected devices. Disconnect old entries when a new device no longer gets added.
What does Zeitlicht store about a connected device?
Only a fingerprint of the key, your account, the kind, the device type such as iPhone or iPad, and when it was connected and last used. The key itself lives in the device's keychain. If you delete your account, Zeitlicht deletes all keys too.
