Choose dark or light

I want to …

… run Zeitlicht on a dark or a bright field.

Before you start

  • Dark is the default. Nothing changes until you switch.
  • The choice belongs to this device, not to your account or a workspace.
  • Both appearances are free and available in every role.

Here's how

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Scroll to Appearance. It sits right above Timer sound.
  3. The rows are Dark and Light. The active one carries a check mark, the other one shows a small preview.
  4. Tap a row. The whole app switches over immediately.

The result

Board, task detail, timer, notes, and settings all use the chosen appearance. Zeitlicht comes back in it the next time you open the app on this device.

Common questions

Does the light mode change the colors of my avatar?

No. Avatars keep their colors so a person looks the same to everyone.

Does my choice reach my teammates?

No. Everyone picks their own appearance.

Why is the light mode less glowy?

Halos around the light column, focus frames, and hovered cards are toned down on a bright field. A strong glow would only turn into haze there.

I use several devices. Why is the choice not synced?

It is stored on the device, so you can keep a dark laptop and a bright phone.
