Search notes
I want to …
… search titles and bodies of every note.
Before you start
- Search sits at the top right as a magnifier and expands to the left.
- It looks in titles first, then in the body.
Here's how
- Open
Notes. - Tap the magnifier. The
Notestitle fades out and the field grows. - Type a word. After a short moment the list filters.
- If the match is in the title, you see the note without an extra snippet.
- If it is only in the body, a short piece appears under the title with the word in white and bold.
- Sections stay:
Pinned, the Random Note, thenAll notes. - Escape or the close icon clears and collapses search. Pull to refresh reloads the list.
The result
You land on the matching note even when the title does not carry the word.
Common questions
Why is the list empty?
No title or body contains that string. The message is No notes match your search.
